Poem of
The Day

Quote of the Day

As soon as man does not take his existence for granted, but beholds it as something unfathomably mysterious, thought begins.
- Albert Schweitzer.

The Seed of Life

He sleeps, he dreams.
"One day, I will break through this realm--
Of darkness, of gloom.
I will flourish, I will bloom!"

"I shall not be buried forever,
You can't keep me down here!"
He cries in pain at the ropes that cut,
The ground is red with his blood.

The agony of the long, dark hours,
Waiting. Wondering--
When will the next meal come,
When he will be safe from all harm.

"Tortures of pain can't stop me,
Thirst for water can't kill me.
I am strong, I will survive!
Someday, somehow, I will be revived--
Into this world of LIFE!"
